The 80A01 Prescaled Trigger Amplifer provides enhanced triggering capability on low-level signals up to 12.5 Gigabits per second. This module is ideally suited for component designers and manufacturers who are verifying the performance of optical and electrical components that run at nonstandard clock rates up to 12.5 GHz. The 80A01 can be applied to the development of components for SONET/SDH systems with Forward Error Correction at rates other than the standard 9.953 Gb/s. This would include long-haul data transmission, such as underwater fiber-optic networks.

The 80A01 fits into any of four small module slots on the TDS8000/CSA8000.
