Can the Hard Disk (HD) be exchanged between different instruments?
The HD can be swapped between units with equivalent CPU board. Therefore the HD can be swapped between two units running Windows 2000. For instruments running Windows 98: They were shipped with one of two versions of the CPU boards. Here is a procedure for determining which version of the CPU board you have:
- Minimize the Oscilloscope Application.
- On the background, right-click My Computer->Properties. Alternatively, from the Windows Start Menu select Settings->Control Panel ; then double-click System. A System Properties window should appear, on first tab (General).
- On the older instruments, the field "Manufactured and Supported by:" should read "Tektronix." On the newer instruments, the field "Manufactured and Supported by:" should read "Tektronix,Inc (SF810 NLX)."
