Question : Why does the Strip chart program generated by the TestPoint Wizard give an error with my KPCI-3101?
Answer: The Strip chart (A/D) program uses a default sampling period of 1Hz (Period (sec)=1). This will cause Error #207 "Unable to start acquisition (Invalid rate, etc?)".
The reason is that the KPCI-3101 (and other boards in this series) have a minimum sampling rate of 1.2 sample/sec. The default conditions of the program are out of spec for this family of boards.
You can still use the example, but must change the sampling period to a value compatible with the KPCI-3101. Or alternately, you can write a custom application that uses the timer instead of the A/D internal clock to pace slower acquisitions.
