What are the factors that determine the accuracy of voltage and time measurements using automated measurements? How can I ensure accurate measurements when using automated measurements? What settings are required to display the signal (sample rate+ number of record points+ etc.)?

Question :

Answer :

For voltage accuracy the factors are gain accuracy, offset accuracy, vertical resolution, noise level, bandwidth, bandwidth flatness, and pulse response aberrations.

For time measurements the factors are time base accuracy and stability, resolution, and interpolator accuracy. If the time measurements are between channels, add channel to channel skew. Higher resolution gives higher accuracy. The more of each the better, but both are limited by cost.
