Answer :
To test for SATA compliance, there is need for single ended and differential probing. The Differential skew and AC common mode measurements need a single ended probe. The Differential output voltage and Unit interval measurements need a differential probe. Bandwidth and probe accessories are important factors. SATA IO WG recommends test system bandwidth of 10GHz. You need a Tektronix P7313 12.5 GHz differential probe.
